With Thanksgiving almost here, flights for the holiday are quickly filling up. This Thanksgiving I’m heading to Las Vegas, where I got an amazingly cheap hotel deal at the Trump International.
Prices to stay on the strip are still reasonable and the Trump seems like one of the best deals out there. I got a suite with a city view and king bed for only $185 for the weekend! That’s two nights for $10 more than a one night stay in the Wynn’s cheapest room! I’d rather have an extra $80 a night in my pocket and walk up the block to the Wynn if I feel the need.
Here’s what rocks at Trump:
- It’s across the street from the Fashion Show Mall
- There’s no casino in the hotel so it’s easy to get up to your room without schleping your bags through a bunch of game tables and slots
- No cigarette smoke overhang in the lobby
- Sweet rooms and amazing pool plus spa
- One of the newest hotels on the strip so the rooms are in nice condition
- Hello! It’s only $85 a night!

You can book good deals to stay at Trump on Expedia or the Trump site directly. They are running sweet promos through Xmas so try and book it fast while there’s still rooms.

We all know what a ripoff it is to buy snacks or drinks in hotel rooms. $5 for a diet coke, I don’t think so! Some Vegas hotels like the Wynn put items on a scale so if you pick them up you are automatically billed, don’t even think about it!
If you stay at Trump, it’s easy to walk across to the mall and buy your munchies, drinks and magazines at the ABC convenience store on the lower level. A five minute stroll to the mall will save you a bundle. If ABC rings a bell, you may already know their stores from Hawaii where they’ve offered locals great deals for years. So get over there and save some dough! They’re cheap and have great selection.
